The Academic Assistance office offers students and parents support in navigating through the college application process. Whether you homeschool some classes or take all your classes at FCS, college planning should begin in the freshman year with careful planning and course mapping that will develop a strong resume. Colleges and universities are becoming more and more selective, seeking students who not only perform well academically, but also have been involved in extracurricular activities and have taken on leadership responsibilities. As you begin to plan ahead, check out the College Board website at www.collegeboard.com.  This website is full of helpful information and is easy to navigate. Standardized test scores are required as part of the admissions process for colleges and universities. The two tests available to students are the ACT and the SAT. Online registration is available for both of these tests.

Our college and missions preparatory course offerings allow students to meet all necessary graduation requirements, yet the commitment to accept homeschool credits remains a core distinctive of FCS. If the component of homeschooling applies to your family, please contact Caren Jones at cjones@FranklinClassical.com for additional homeschooling guidelines and requirements.

Contact Melinda Mahand at MMahand@FranklinClassical.com with questions.
