Why Science?

SCIENCE AT FRANKLIN CLASSICAL SCHOOL

Franklin Classical School seeks to give students a depth of understanding of science from a classical, biblical perspective in order to prepare them for any path along which God leads them.

The goals of the science department will lead students to develop:

  • Wisdom through the revelation of God’s nature and character.
  • A conviction of truth as they see how science supports scripture.
  • Wonder of the created order as they learn the intricacies of nature.
  • Stewardship of creation as they come to appreciate it.
  • High standards of ethics in their daily life.
  • Skills in problem solving, deductive reasoning, and the basic steps of the scientific method.
  • Appreciation for the men and women God uses to unfold scientific knowledge.
  • Understanding of the role of science in the spread of the gospel.
