Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment is the enrollment of a high school student in one or more specified college course(s) for which the student will be awarded both high school and college credit. Students get a "head start" into their college experience. Credits will transfer to nearly all of Tennessee's four-year private and public universities as well as various other universities.  Each student is responsible for obtaining verification of transfer credit from their chosen university.  Each college has its own requirements for dual enrollment. Typical requirements are as follows:
• Junior or Senior in High School
• minimum GPA of 3.0
• minimum 19 ACT.
Please check with local colleges in your area to see if they participate in dual enrollment. Also, visit the Nashville State website (www.nscc.edu) to get additional information on the TN Dual Enrollment Grant and the NSCC Foundation Dual Enrollment Scholarship.
